This tool has a plastic body in the shape of a pen, with a fixed component in one end. This component is made of carbide and its shape and dimensions are appropriate for the fiber cleavage. It is systematically applied in the removal of excess fiber during the installation of optical fiber connectors. Its useful life surpasses 1000 operations. After scratching the optical fiber it should be slightly bent in order to cleave the fiber. With ideal ergonomy , adequately distributed weight, the user can perfectly feel when the fiber is scretched. This tool is recommended for use in the lab or field.
