CIRCULAR MOVEMENT POLISHING MACHINE

This machine was designed for the polishing of small flat parts. It is constituted internally of a direct current motor with a gearing box for torque increase and an AC/DC converter for the power supply. These parts are attached to a robust naval aluminum box of ¼" thickness. The frontal panel contains a knob to enable the user to adjust the speed. The upper part of the box contains the motor axis in which the user can attach support discs for the polishing boards. Each machine comes with 3 support discs for standard boards diameters of 4", 5" and 8". Each disc has its central part lowered by 3mm to allow the insertion of different substances (required to polish different objects), such as rubber (hard or soft), polishing cloths, velvet or others. The discs are built in PVC, inert to most chemical products. This allows them to be used not only as support for mechanic abrasives but also for chemical "etching". The polishing speed can be adjusted with precision to control the amount of material to be removed and the state of the polished surface.
