MODEL 5433 AMPLIFIER
Columbia Research offers the industry for the first time a self-contained Instrumentation Grade Strain Gage Amplifier. The Model 5433 Amplifier interfaces directly with any remote mounted single 350 ohm foil strain gage. The contained signal conditioning circuitry balances the remote gage in a Wheatstone bridge configuration. The unit incorporates a two-pole butterworth low pass filter stage coupled to a high performance low drift differential voltage amplifier. The system typically provides a ±2.5 volt true differential output signal for an equivalent 50,000 microstrains generated at the input by any commercially +10VDC power available foil type 350 ohm strain gage with a nominal gage factor of 2.0.The generated signal output can drive up to 500 feet of twisted shielded pair instrumentation cable. The Model 5433 Strain Gage Amplifier is powered from +10VDC and has an operating temperature range from -30 to +185°F. Frequency response is factory set at ±5% from DC to 20 KHz, -1 dB @30 KHz with a -3 dB cut-off occurring at approximately 40 KHz. |
