Cromatica has been operating since 1992 in the field of optical communication. Cromatica played a major role in the development of the optical networks of the subway in Rio de Janeiro, of the Brazilian Post Office in Sao Paulo, many energy sub-stations in Sao Paulo and the Northeast region, powerplant stations, port cargo terminals and many container forklifts.
In addition to these services, Cromatica manufactures its own line of instruments and accessories for optical networks, such as fiber optics manual cleavers, strippers for optical and electric cables, optical power meters, optical sources, optical cables for automation, control, security and surveillance systems, return loss meters and diamond lapping films.
Cromatica is also the exclusive Brazilian dealer for thre international companies - Telebyte (U.S.A), Luminos (Canada) and Columbia Research Lab(U.S.A.). Through the agreement with Telebyte, Cromatica offers equipment for data communication through copper and optical fiber, micromodems, protocol converters, media converters, instruments for the testing of modems in production lines, and surge protectors. Through the agreement with Luminos, Cromatica offers optical switches, the most accurate micropositioners available in the marketplace, and acrylate strippers. Finally, through the agreement with Columbia Research Lab Cromatica offers accelerometers, inclinometers, vibration sensors, vibration meters, pressure sensors, etc.
